Mark Murphy (Co-Owner)
Mark began dj'ing in 1996 and has become one of Sydney’s leading electro/tech DJs. He has played every major club and party in Sydney including Mardi Gras, Sleaze Ball, Inquisition,The Big Day Out, Field Day and We Love Sydney. He has supported everyone from Carl Cox to Carl Craig through to Felix Da Housecat and Peaches. His own night, Strudel, has been a pioneer of the electro sound and celebrated its second birthday in 2004. His new night Flipper intends to push the burgeoning acid house sounds filtering through from Europe.
He opened Spank Records with Leanne & Chris in 2002 and has had two tracks released on Ear Pimp Music, a local Sydney label. He had a radio show on the now defunkt Rhythm FM called Techno Slut and has appeared on nearly every dance station in Sydney. He also writes a column for 3d under the guise of Blowfly. He is now exhausted just reading this.
Matt Cowley
Matt is a multi-instrumental musical dilettante with a passion for recording and music production.
Amongst Matt's repertoire of instruments are the classical piano training, guitar and oddly enough, the trombone.
He also enjoys talking at length about musical gadgetry, especially when he gets to use long complex names like 'cross platform multi-processor MIDI integration GUI matrix HUD' (or similar).
On occasion, Matthew has also been known to buy a piece of round, grooved vinyl and listen to the noises that come off it when rotated in a clockwise direction.
He has also released under the name of Zigguratz and is featured on the Bang Gang label.
Richard Bessell
When Rich isn't at work he spends most of his time producing and writing his own tracks ranging from Indie Synth-Pop, Tech, Wobble House and Dubstep.
Rich has just completed a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Digital Musics, and has played at festivals and venues around Sydney in various bands.
He has been spotted lurking around The Vanguard, The Basement, The Hopetoun, Ananndale Hotel and Pete's Ridge Festival.
Rich has also been DJing for the past three years and is one-half of Sydney based DJ Duo Kid n Bird. They have brought the party to Purple Sneakers, Moulin Rouge, Sosueme and Kings Cross Hotel.
